CHRISTMAS APPEAL

Every Christmas, at all REdland Church Christmas services, we like to give an opportunity for people to give to bless others. This year all the money is going towards two causes

SIXTY ONE

Sixty-One are a Bristol based charity who work with prisoners both before and after their release. They work through a number of projects to help offenders live lives free from crime. Each year they run a Christmas gift bag project giving over 1600 gift bags to those in local prisons. Life in prison is also challenging - research has shown that 85% of prisoners were locked in their cells for 23 hours a day (in some cases for more than two years) during the pandemic, 29% are reporting signs of severe depression and there was a 28% increase in prisoner suicide last year. It makes such a difference to them to not only receive the gifts, but to know that someone cares about them. Find out more about Sixty One
